Creative Weekly Challenges

Creative Weekly Challenges!

Each week we will have fun challenges that you might want to try while you are at home

Please send us your creations via Facebook messenger or email

Week beginning 18/05/20

This week is Mental Health Awareness Week and the theme is 'Kindness' so for our creative weekly challenge we would like you to:

1. Make a kindness rock

It is simply a rock or a pebble that you decorate with a kind message and leave it somewhere around your community for someone to find.

2. Write a message or a joke for a friend or family member that you haven't seen for a while.

As we all know, sometimes a simple message, joke or act of kindness can brighten someone's entire day!

Week beginning 11/05/20

1. Design your own book cover - Barrow Library competition.

Have you got a favourite book you would like to design a cover for? You could draw, paint, fabric, use your computer art skills, just be creative as possible. All they ask is that your cover has the book title and author on it and we will send it with #LibriesFromHome #GetCreativeAtHome

2. Where do you read your book?

Send us a picture of you reading a book, may it be on the sofa, under the kitchen table or outside. Be as imaginative as you like, it will be fun to see the places where you read.

1. Bright and colourful poster for Craven Park:

A number of local businesses are funding for one of the billboards at Barrow Raiders (next to Hollywood park roundabout) to be filled with drawings made by local children.

They are looking for bright and colourful drawings; they can have any theme you want: family, favourite animal, favourite hobby, favourite place to go etc. The brighter the better! Please include your child's name and age on the front of the drawing.

2. Clap for NHS and key workers - 8pm every Thursday

Every Thursday, the nation join together in applause of the efforts of our NHS and key workers. We want a grown up to film you doing your applause at 8pm; let’s see how many pupils we can get sending in their video so that we can make a movie of you all!

It would be great to see you joining in with your family and community!
