Dear Miss Rawlinson,

I just wanted to drop you a line to say how much I enjoyed speaking to the children on Friday. They were a joy to spend time with and beautifully behaved, a credit to you and the staff.

Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if there is anything else I can help you with.

Kind regards

John

South Cumbria Music Festival

|

We have had such a wonderful week at the South Cumbria Music Festival and are overjoyed with our school hand chime group and choir winning 5 trophies and a bursary over the course of 2 days.  Our pupils have been attending a weekly choir and hand chime practise since January in preparation for the festival.

Hand Chimes - Wednesday 16th March

|

Entry 505: Percussion – any age, soloist or group

Our Hand Chime group performed “Half the World Away” and were awarded the Terry Turner Shield.  Gill Johnston, the adjudicator, awarded them 87 marks (distinction) and said “Yes! This ensemble was really watching their conductor and the tune rang out well.  What a lovely sound you make as an ensemble – you sounded ‘as one’.  We all recognised the John Lewis tune.  Impressive that, without music, you all knew exactly what you were doing.”
